The Hive is the core of the WASP3D networked workflow. The Hive provides the content management and delivery of data and media objects to all WASP3D clients. The Hive consists of a web server, a database server and optionally a storage server. The following application modules are available for administrators to manage the WASP3D workflow:

Hive - Kernel Controller
The WASP3D Kernel Controller server manages, maintains and delivers data to all the WASP3D clients across the network. It is the heart of the WASP3D networked solution. The Kernel Controller also ensures that concurrent data is available to all WASP3D DataBuzz clients across the network.

Hive - Hive Manager
The Hive Manager is an extensive application for data management of playlists. Programs, playlists and themes can be created through this central administration playlist management software. The Hive Manager provides the flexibility to mix-n-match multiple playlists to create a larger playlists.

Hive - Database
The Hive Database is built on top of the high performance Microsoft SQL© based database enables content sharing across the WASP3D network

Hive- Databuzz
This is the data contribution client application. The user interface of a WASP3D scene created in the Comb Builder is available for the non-design personnel to enter/modify the data fields and post them to a playlist. An ActiveX MOS version of the data-entry client is available for integration with the newsroom system.
