What is a Virtual Client? How does it work in WASP3D?
Welcome to the WASP3D’s tutorial on ‘The Virtual Client’.
The virtual client streamlines the production process by enabling users to manage and create a complete virtual set without the need for complex design software. Its features include chroma key audio control, video input, customization with placeholder textures, and the ability to adjust the position of objects and textures in the scene. The user-friendly interface simplifies the task of performing all production-related tasks with ease.
The virtual set offers two modes Design mode and play or production mode. Users can perform all the pre-production tasks such as loading and unloading templates using the chroma key and making simple changes to objects, textures, and camera transformations. In the design mode, users can also create real-time camera shots known as camera presets and oscillations.
To better understand the design mode, work on a virtual set as per the process defined in the video and modify it accordingly. You can create a camera preset and set up the chroma settings, and much more to prepare for production. There are 8 placeholders that allow the user to update and change inputs in the virtual video wall and control inputs like a playlist. It also has 64 luma wipes available for transitions between camera shots and placeholder inputs.
To make your software usage more convenient we have defined shortcuts at almost every level. You can find the list of all the shortcuts in the engine host option in the shortcut tab of preferences.
