Learn how to configure the Virtual Camera animation shots using Salvo Buttons
In this tutorial, we will learn how to configure, the Virtual Camera animation shots using Salvo buttons.
Once configured, it will give one-point control to the producer, for seamless camera animations like, close ups, long shots, pan right, pan left & Bird eye.
To begin, Double click on the Salvo panel, to add a button, and select wasp Button, Select the salvo button.
Now go to the properties panel, to change the button’s name, colour, font and size.
By clicking on the shortcut option, users, can also assign a keyboard button, like an alphabet character, to execute the salvo button’s action.
To change the appearance of the salvo button, go to the properties panel, and Select the back colour, to change the background colour of the button, The colour of the toggle button will change, when you select the back toggle colour.
Similarly, font size, & styles, can also be modified.
To change the text colour of the button, modify the fore-colour
In order to assign an action to the button, click on action stacks, and pin it to the panel.
Click on the Actions, which will open a drop down menu, to add an action to the button.
Since we are configuring the Camera animation, we are going to add, a Move camera action on the button.
Within the actions UI, select the camera, and assign an action to this button, In the action stacks, users can see, a list of all actions applied to this button.
Similarly, in order to create more camera shots, the same process can be used.
When all your buttons are configured, click on the Save Salvo to save the actions created.
To apply these camera shots onto your scene, go to Camera Placement, and Save the Show.
Now, click on the Salvo panel at the bottom, to open, and Press Control L, to load all Salvo actions assigned to the show.
Select the salvo action to be previewed.
Preview the animation on the server, by Clicking on one of the Salvo buttons to animate the camera from one shot to another, or, you can also press the assigned Keyboard button, to operate the salvo buttons.
